Emergency First Aid at Work

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

Amazing course and content, without a doubt the best and most well structured first aid course I’ve had the pleasure of completing.

Workplace first aid provision is a LEGAL requirement for all UK businesses.
In order to comply with the relevant legislation, every business must conduct a first aid needs-assessment, and as part of that one of the main considerations is deciding what first aid training employees should receive.

The general idea is to consider what potential risks can be identified in your particular workplace, considering the environment and employees, and ensure that your staff receive training in dealing with all of the identified areas.

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) and First Aid at Work (FAW) are both qualifications which meet the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements for workplace first aid, (Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981), but it is for the employer to select which is most appropriate for their business, based on their needs assessment.

Both qualifications are at the same level; the only difference is the amount of content and number of subjects covered (and therefore the length of the course).
